European Programmes

    The European Programmes concern aid from the European Structural Funds such as:

    The European Investment Bank
    The European funds Guidance and Guarantee
    Financial Instruments for Fisheries Guidance
    The European regional development fund
    The European Social Fund (ESF)

    The programs include activities related to the following areas:

    • Productive investments allowing to create and safeguard sustainable jobs
    • Technological research and development in order to promote the implementation of new technologies and   innovation
    • Development of the Information Society
    • Protection and improvement of the environment
    • Equality of men and women in employment including by creating companies
    • Transnational, cross-border and interregional cooperation in the field of regional development
    • Infrastructure investments contributing to increasing economic potential for development, structural   adjustment to sustainable employment of its regions and the establishment and development of trans-  European networks in the areas of transport, telecommunications and energy
    • Investments for the development of industrial space in decline, the renewal of degraded urban areas and the   revitalization of and improved access to rural areas and areas dependent on fisheries
    • Investment in the development of endogenous potential, local and SME development
    • Business Assistance (management, market studies and research)
    • Financing the transfer of technology
    • Improving access of companies to financing and credit
    • Aid to local service structures aiming at the creation of new jobs
